
The University of Maryland University College is a recognized leader in distance education for non-traditional students.
Joan began teaching at UMUC in January 2001 as an adjunct professor. In September 2003, she was hired as a full-time Collegiate Professor. Each semester, Joan receives high student evaluations and has been nominated each year for UMUC's Stanley Drazek award that recognizes teaching excellence.
